- we are 20 months from full retirement according to our accountant today 1/15/2009, but with a currently 13 yr. old girl in tow. We're coming back to Mazatlan to get a better look and feel if this is a good fit for us. We liked Colima as well. I hope to encounter more very nice folks in our adventure!

valentines day events?
We'll be in town with a teenager and are looking for an event for her to be part of. Last year in Colima was a drag because we were invited to the Rotary event, and even the taxistas couldn't find it. I promised her something better this year.
More generally, we are a close to early retirement couple and looking to see if Maz is for us. I'm coming from Seattle Feb. 12 for a long 5 day weekend to get a good look around.

What time would you like me to pick you up on the 13th? I work in my downtown office until 1:30 P.M......
I'm sure Andes wants to know you are coming. They have security at the gate and if they don't know you, you ain't getting in. We were never fotunate enought to actually sit in and watch a full class get taught. I don't think they are open to that, but who knows. I would recommend you contact the school and arrange to meet with one of the English speaking staff on the day of your choosing. They have a limited staff that speaks English and they can be very busy.
Let us know what you work out and perhaps we can meet you there and make the introduction for you.
Tell me again how long you are in town for? You are staying at La Siesta, correct? We will need to find some time to visit you and for our kids to meet!

Just wanted to say Hi again and apologize for not responding to your email. I have an issue with my email where all messages in my inbox are deleted. It is random and has happened twice now in about 9 months. Your message was in the last batch of email that happened to so I saw it, read it and after it was deleted, forgot about.
Hope your scouting trip to Mazatlan goes well. Since I am interested in moving to Mazatlan as well, I would be interested in any information/photos etc. you acquire and might like to share.
Are you planning on buying/buying or renting?
Just out of curiosity, do you/your wife/daughter speak spanish?
