Hi Shawn, We just got back. It was great. My husband left a week before me because I was ill and couldn't fly, but I'm fine now. We ate lunch downtown with a few of Ed's Mexican friends and I got a bad case of Amibas ( it's a common Mexican parasite ) but according to the doctor down there....it can be very serious even life threatening if you don't take the proper medicine to kill them. Anyway, I took the medication and I'm fine now. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and honestly, I wish I was still there.
You can pick my brain anytime about furniture shopping or whatever else you think of. Pleased to meet you.

Hi Shawn,

Just noticed your page and wanted to say welcome.
We have had a similiar experience...we went to visit Mazatlan last November and fell in love with the area,purchased a condo to get into the market and we are back in April to furnish it, Plans are to someday retire partime down there(unfortunatley, we have a few more years to go !). We have been to many vacation spots in Mexico but Mazatlan just seemed different and a place you could carry on with life.

We live in Fernie, BC perhaps you know of our little community.

About Me:
My husband and I fell in love with Mazatlan this past January. We have purchased a home in Mazatlan that we will take possession of in 2009. We are both so excited and thought this would be a good idea to sign up and talk to others that are loving the Mazatlan Sun!! We are looking for a future retirement area. However, we still have a few more years before we can retire.
