Lori Pierson Looking for an old friend!

Spent 3 wonderful days with a Mazatlan native when I was 16 years old and he was about 16 years old. I was vacationing with my family at the old El Pescador hotel (which no longer exists) in 1980. If I had been 18 and he'd asked me to stay, I may have said yes! Wondering what ever happened to him. He used to sell vanilla on the beach for a company called "Tropical World." He was saving money in hopes of one day going to medical school. Wondering if his dream ever came true! He would be in his mi… Continue

Sandi Harmoney Looking for Anna and Miranda

My two best friends took the Grey Hound from Palm Desert on 1/10 heading to Mazatlan. We have not heard from them that they have arrived. They have backpacks, sleeping bags, and a tent and were wanting to go to Chabela (Stone Island) to camp. Both have long dirty blonde hair, and glasses. If anyone has run into them please tell them to phone home. Miranda's mother has fallen ill, and it's important they give us a call. Thanks for your help. Continue

Martin Pierce valentines day events?

We'll be in town with a teenager and are looking for an event for her to be part of. Last year in Colima was a drag because we were invited to the Rotary event, and even the taxistas couldn't find it. I promised her something better this year. More generally, we are a close to early retirement couple and looking to see if Maz is for us. I'm coming from Seattle Feb. 12 for a long 5 day weekend to get a good look around. Continue

Randy Parent Favorite Restaurants in Mazatlan

We like Pancho's for a restaurant on the beach. Great food, atmoshphere and drinks. Order a Cafe Diablo for desert -- flaming coffee drink.

Best high end restaurant -- Casa Loma. Best tortilla soup anywhere. Everything is good. watch yourself with the strong margaritas.

Best steaks and deal -- El Bamboo. Order the aracharra -- a marinated strip steak that melts in your mouth.

Another favorite that is in the historical old town is Pedro and Lola's.

Surpringly, I rec
