My daughter Shawnae on Fox Health show Dr. Manny talking about her hearing problems. We can all be proud of anyone overcoming or dealing with a disability. My wife said she is proud of my dealing with only half a brain, but my dad says its due to immaturity, plus stupidity. One has to cope I guess. Wolfie

Comment by Bill Lowery on September 27, 2009 at 6:21pm - Thats Great for her! She must be a strong woman. My brother went to get his Tonsil's removed when he was 8 years old. The hospital gave him the wrong meds. He lost all of his hearing and was in a coma for 160 days, died 3 times and pulled through. He is now 38 and totally deaf. He has had a Cochlear implant for many years now. He was one of the first people to get one. Tell your daughter that she will allways be beautiful and smart. I wish all of you the best.
